Eggies....because aparantly there are millions of people struggling to liberate hardboiled eggs from their shells

So, I guess judging by the last post and this one I have been exposed to too much T.V. this weekend. My friend, Chrystal, her husband and I were all in the living room when a commercial came on for a product called “Eggies.”  We were watching and laughing at the dramatization of the actors demonstrating how hard it is to peel a hardboiled egg.  Really??????!  How egg challenged do you have to be to peel a hardboiled egg?  I learned how to peel them when I was a small child at one of my first Easter celebrations. 

This product is designed to “hard-boil” eggs without a shell because you crack the egg into the egg shaped contraption and then cook it creating a perfect hardboiled egg without the mess.  To me the eggs looked kind of rubbery and not very appetizing.

I don’t know about you, but first of all I rarely ever hard-boil an egg and on those rare occasions that I do there  really doesn’t seem to be a problem with peeling them…roll it on the counter and slide it off….no mess…no fuss…
WTF!  Do we really need gadgets and contraptions to do everything for us?  Will we soon see infomercials for toilet paper that will wipe our asses for us?
